Healing And Faith

KIND JESUS, when a desperate synagogue leader named Jairus fell at your feet and pleaded for you to come heal his dying daughter, you went with him. On the way there, Jairus received news that his daughter was already dead, but you said, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”

When you arrived at the house, people waiting outside laughed at you when you said the little girl wasn’t dead. And yet you, your disciples, Jairus, and his wife went right to the little girl’s room. You simply said, “Little girl, get up!” And she did. Immediately. Oh, the joy!

Jairus and his family were amazed at your power, and so are we. In our desperate times, Jesus, we turn to you too. Where else would we go? You alone are the way, the truth, and the life.

Like Jairus, we beg for your presence. We want you to come with us. Thank you that you went with Jairus and that you promise to go with us. Like Jairus, may we listen to you and heed your gentle words: “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.” Oh, how we long for your healing touch in our lives and in our families.
