God Draws Us
God Draws Us
LOVING GOD, thank you for drawing us to yourself through your world, your workmanship, and your Word.
You grab our attention with the sun and the moon, visible evidence of your magnificent creation from the very beginning. When I see a stunning sunset, it’s your handiwork on display. When I rise in the wee hours of the morning and gaze at a full moon through the skylight, something in the recesses of my heart compels me to think of you. Thank you, Father, for such beauty.
You captivate us through your gift of physical life. Our bodies don’t need to be plugged into an electrical outlet to be recharged; instead, your gifts of food and sleep keep us energized and going until the end of our days. We are your masterpieces, made in your image. When I stop to ponder how you’ve designed the parts of my body to work together, I’m drawn to you yet again.
You beckon us to you through your Word. It’s a privilege to spend time reading it because its pages reveal who you are. The more we read about you, Father, the more we want to spend time with you.
