Romans 5:1-2

Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

Hope is a powerful thing. When it is lost, we fall into depression and despair. These verses assure us of the hope we have in the saving power of Jesus Christ. Because of our faith in him, God promises we will be filled with peace and joy unlike anything we have ever experienced—both now and for all eternity. What situation, relationship, or task feels hopeless today? Ask Jesus for his perspective and trust him to provide the peace and joy—and hope—that he promises.
