Psalm 18:31-33,36

Who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. . . . You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

Time and again Scripture reminds us that God empowers his children with unique and divine strength. Perhaps he knew we would need plenty of it during our time in this world. Life has its share of problems and scary situations. But whatever we face, God’s Word reassures us that he is stronger than our greatest problems. He is our “solid rock.” When the earth feels like it’s moving underneath you, stand on this truth: God is your strength. Hold tight to him, and he will keep you from slipping.
