Psalm 119:11
Psalm 119:11
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
What does it mean to hide God’s Word in our hearts? Just as we tuck good memories away to ponder later, Scripture can be memorized to recall as needed. As we read, memorize, and meditate on God’s Word, its divine power is absorbed into our souls, changing our thoughts, feelings, and actions to become more like Christ’s. It’s great to have the Bible easily accessible on our phones, but it’s more important to have Scripture in our hearts. The passages we commit to memory will always be with us and will come to mind when we need them most. What verse would you like to commit to memory this week so that its message can live in your heart?
