1 Corinthians 10:12-13

If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Each of us has a particular area of weakness where the tempter strikes. Do you know where you are most vulnerable? Being “careful not to fall” means being aware of what tempts you and alert to the triggers that might cause you to sin. If you fail to even notice you’re being tempted, you will also fail to see God’s escape plan. How might Satan be tempting you right now? Ask God to help you grow in awareness so you can draw on his power to stand strong.
