Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.

Jesus extends a very simple invitation to everyone: “Come to me.” He wants us to believe in him, to trust him, and to know him personally. And when we do, he promises to give rest to our weary souls. Perhaps you long for more specific information about how everything is going to work out in your life, but Jesus doesn’t promise that. He simply offers to give you guidance and rest when you feel exhausted and overwhelmed. Come to him with your heart open to whatever he wants to teach you.
