Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”

This beautiful verse reminds us that God pursues us—even in our worst moments. Even though God’s people had forsaken him, he kept calling them back to himself, longing for reconciliation. But it could occur only if they first made a deliberate choice to recognize the wrong they had done. Perhaps God wants to settle something with you as well—maybe it has to do with an attitude that needs to be changed or an idol that has taken root in your life. If so, talk about it with the Lord and remember that no matter how badly sin has stained your life, God has promised to make you clean again.
