Ezekiel 36:26-27

I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees.

God is passionate about holiness. Holiness doesn’t happen by merely changing outward behavior; holiness happens through changed hearts. This isn’t something people can do on their own but only as a result of God’s supernatural help. When we realize that our sinful nature separates us from him, we can confess our sin to Jesus, receive his forgiveness, and commit to his way of living. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, he gives us a new heart, which frees us from captivity to sin. Then God sees us as holy! Has this happened in your life yet?
