When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the LORD.

Moses spent forty days on a mountaintop with God. When he came down, his face was radiant—not because of anything he had done, but simply because he had spent time in God’s presence. Have you ever been in the presence of someone you knew had recently spent time with God? Maybe you noticed that person’s peace, joy, or thankful heart, or simply their capacity to love you well. This is what God offers to those who are intentional in their time with him. Even if you can spend only four minutes reading his Word or forty seconds praying, take those moments and experience the radiant joy that comes from being in his presence.
