Esther 4:14
Esther 4:14
If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?
When God’s people were exiles in Persia, a young woman named Esther found favor with the king and was chosen to be queen. After she learned of a plot to destroy her people, she faced a dilemma: Either risk her life to save them or remain silent to spare her own, for approaching the king without an invitation was punishable by death. Then Mordecai, Esther’s relative, suggested that perhaps this situation was the whole reason Esther was made queen. God puts people in places and positions for a reason; how might he be using your location, influence, or abilities for “such a time as this”?
