Deuteronomy 4:9

Deuteronomy 4:9

Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.

The Israelites had a tendency to forget the wonderful things God had done for them. But don’t we all tend to forget or ignore the good things God has done in our lives, or at least move on too quickly? God knows we are prone to forgetfulness, and he has often reminded his people to remember his kind acts. In addition, he said we are responsible to tell the next generation about his faithfulness. What has God recently done for you? How can you be more intentional in recalling the wonderful stories of his care and passing them along to those who come after you?
