Magnificent Prayer #95

Magnificent Prayer #95

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

Exodus 3:5

Here is the secret of a life of prayer: Take time in the inner chamber to bow down and worship; and wait on Him until He unveils Himself, and takes possession of you, and goes out with you to show how a man can live and walk in abiding fellowship with an unseen Lord.

ANDREW MURRAY

Pray About It: Begin your prayer time with worship. It sets the tone for all that will follow. The unseen Lord will inhabit the praises of His pray-ers and you will be standing on holy ground. Allow the Lord to thus take possession of you as you pray.

When you go on about the day’s business, you will be confident and His Spirit will live through you. Others will see and be blessed.

Worship should never be pursued as a means to achieving something other than worship. Worship is never a step on our way up to any other experience. It is not a door through which we pass to get anywhere. It is the end point, the goal.
