Magnificent Prayer #89
He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
Psalm 18:33 KJV
On the mountain, torrents of water flow right along, cutting their own courses. But on the plains, canals have to be cut out painfully by men so that the waters may flow.
So among those who live on the heights with God, the Holy Spirit makes His way through of His own accord, whereas those who devote little time to prayer and communion with God, have to organize painfully.

Pray About It: Has your life been one of plowing the canals through which your spiritual life must flow? Then come to the heights where the torrents flow in courses cut by the Spirit. God’s good news is an invitation to rest and let the river of God’s Spirit wash through us. Set aside your own efforts at prayer. Let Him pray through you.
You cannot live this life, but Christ can. Christ in us can live this life anywhere and everywhere. He lived it on earth in a home where He was misunderstood and maligned; among people who ridiculed, scoffed, opposed, and finally crucified Him. We, then, do not have to live this life; Christ is willing and able to live it in us.
