Magnificent Prayer #71
Magnificent Prayer #71
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 KJV
Have you learned the beautiful art of letting God take care of you, and giving all your thought and strength to pray for others and for the kingdom of God? It will relieve you of a thousand cares. It will lift you up into a noble and lofty sphere, and teach you to live and love like God. Lord save us from our selfish prayers and give us the faith that worketh by love, and the heart of Christ for a perishing world.
A. B. SIMPSON
Pray About It: If we’ve been in the habit of putting our own needs at the top of our prayer lists, today let’s change that. As a matter of intercession and discipline, today, pray not for yourself at all but only for others.
God will remember your needs.
Believers are one body, and ought to pray, not so much for the welfare of their own church or society, but, first of all, for all the saints. This large, unselfish love is the proof that Christ’s Spirit and Love is teaching them to pray. Pray first for all and then for the believers around you.
