Magnificent Prayer #361
But I am a man of prayer.
Psalm 109:4
Prayer has been known to recall the souls of the departed from the very path of death, to transform the weak, to restore the sick, to purge the possessed, to open prison-bars, to loose the bonds of the innocent. Likewise it washes away faults, repels temptations, extinguishes persecutions, consoles the fainthearted, cheers the high-spirited, escorts travelers, appeases waves, makes robbers stand aghast, nourishes the poor, governs the rich, upraises the fallen, arrests the falling, confirms the standing.

Pray About It: Tertullian was an early Christian. He tells us what he has seen prayer do. Now, two thousand years later, prayer still works, still does all those same things. Prayer is endless.
Let me burn out for God! After all, whatever God may appoint, prayer is the great thing. Oh that I might be a man of prayer!
