Magnificent Prayer #30

Magnificent Prayer #30

It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Isaiah 65:24 KJV

There is no danger of the individual Christian being overlooked amidst the multitude of supplicants who daily and hourly present their various petitions, for an infinite Mind is as capable of paying the same attention to millions as if only one individual were seeking its attention.

So too the lack of appropriate language, the inability to give expression to the deepest longing of the soul, will not jeopardize our prayers, for “It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”

ARTHUR PINK

Pray About It: Don’t put limitations on God. He can hear your prayers at the same time your brothers and sisters are at prayer all around the world. J. B. Phillips wrote what has become a classic book, entitled Your God Is Too Small, wherein he challenged the limitations that most people put on God.

The one to whom we pray knows the past, the present, and the future, and nothing is allowed to happen without His knowledge and permission. Thus we may have firm confidence in God. He is Sovereign.

The prayers you will pray today, God will hear while you are yet speaking. And even more: before you call on Him, the answer is on its way!

Your thoughts of God are too human.

MARTIN LUTHER
