Love Beyond Reason

Raising a family can be fraught with weariness, frustration, darkness, hurt feelings, criticism, difficult children, stress in marriage—you name it. Anyone who would take on this enormous task of subduing and civilizing your home, your family, and your lives in a culture and time in which families are being torn apart and children’s souls are being filled with darkness and despair is a true hero!

God wants us to understand that when we prevail over darkness in the power of His Spirit, through faith and obedience, we live out the reality of His power and presence in the same way that Jesus did when He was alive on earth.

There is no rational reason why someone would give up her life, her body, her time, her rights, for the well-being and building up of someone else. Servant mothers throughout history have portrayed Christ by living sacrificially and giving up their lives for others.

So today I wish you courage as you overcome. May you have a sense of victory and affirmation that you are among those who are modeling the reality of His great heart and soul by each tiny act of faith, as you choose to love the little ones in your home, when you choose to serve by making your home a lighthouse of righteousness, and when you bring the grace of forgiveness and peace to those who have fallen short.

His Promises

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

When your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
