Experience More Of God

Lord, how can I have more of you in my life?

Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I am good to those who depend on me, to those who search for me. My purpose is for the nations to seek after me and perhaps feel their way toward me and find me—though I am not far from any one of you. I will be found by you.

Will you help me find you?

I am working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases me. And if you search for me with all your heart and soul, you will find me. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I will be with you; I will neither fail you nor abandon you.

What can I pray when it feels like you are far away?

LORD, you are close to all who call on you, yes, to all who call on you in truth. You grant the desires of those who fear you; you hear their cries for help and rescue them.

Psalm 145:18-19

Every believer experiences seasons when God feels far away, and maybe even nonexistent. In those times, we must rely more on the truth of God’s promises than on the strength of our feelings. Do you strive to have a pure heart? Do you obey God’s commandments? If you can answer yes to these questions, God promises you will experience more of him. Remember that God is with you wherever you are. He sees you, and he is working in your heart to draw you closer to himself.
