Your Salvation Is Secure
Your Salvation Is Secure
Lord, how can I be sure my salvation is secure?
This is how I loved the world: I gave my one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Everyone who calls on my name will be saved. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for I am more powerful than anyone else.
John 3:16; Romans 10:13; John 10:28-29
What can remind me of your power to secure my salvation?
Very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. Two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!”
Luke 24:1-6
What can I pray when I feel insecure about my salvation?
LORD, you are my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? You are my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
Psalm 27:1, 3
Whenever you doubt God’s promise of salvation to those who believe in him, recite the psalm above as a prayer. Read this psalm before bed every night this week, asking God to help your heart fully trust these words.
