What Do You Want God To Do For You?
Lord, are you sensitive toward the hardships and hurts in my life?
I am merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. I am good to everyone. I shower compassion on all my creation. I hear my people when they call to me for help. I rescue them from all their troubles.

How can I catch a glimpse of your sensitivity, Jesus?
Two blind men were sitting beside the road. When they heard that I was coming that way, they began shouting, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” When I heard them, I stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” they said, “we want to see!” I felt sorry for them and touched their eyes. Instantly they could see!

What can I pray to remind myself of your sensitivity toward my pain?
I love you, LORD, because you hear my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because you bend down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! How kind you are! How good you are! So merciful, this God of mine!

God does not feel annoyed or frustrated during your seasons of hardship. In fact, he promises to respond with sensitivity to your pain. He listens to your prayers, shows you mercy and kindness, and helps you in your troubles. Just as Jesus had mercy toward the blind men crying out to him in their pain, he longs to be merciful toward you in yours. Talk to God about something hard or painful in your life. Imagine him sitting with you, listening intently to your prayer. What sensitive words of compassion might he be speaking to you tonight?
