Take A Load Off
Take A Load Off
Lord, how can you help when my burdens become too much?
Give your burdens to me, and I will take care of you. I will not permit the godly to slip and fall. I will take the load from your shoulders; I will free your hands from their heavy tasks. You cried to me in trouble, and I saved you.
Psalm 55:22; Psalm 81:6-7
How can I live more freely and lightly in this season?
Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your soul. Come to me, you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
Jeremiah 6:16; Matthew 11:28-30
What can I pray when I’m overwhelmed?
I give all my worries and cares to you, God, for you care about me.
1 Peter 5:7
Are you carrying a heavy burden today? A faltering marriage? Sickness? Struggles at work? Disappointment with your children? Financial struggles? You were never meant to carry the full weight of these things. In prayer, picture lifting that burden off your shoulders and setting it down before the Lord. Ask him to remove the weight and carry it for you so you can have hope in this season.
