Invite The Lord Into Every Area Of Your Life
Invite The Lord Into Every Area Of Your Life
Lord, do I need to invite you into my day, or are you already here?
I am with you always. I am living among you. I am a mighty savior. I take delight in you with gladness. With my love, I will calm all your fears. I rejoice over you with joyful songs. For I hold you by your right hand—I, the LORD your God. Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
Matthew 28:20; Zephaniah 3:17; Isaiah 41:13; Jeremiah 29:13
How can I also remember to invite you into my plans, thoughts, and interactions with others?
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Seek me while you can find me. Call on me now while I am near. My love remains forever with those who fear me. My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart.
Colossians 4:2; Isaiah 55:6; Psalm 103:17; Proverbs 3:1
What can I pray to remind myself that you are always near?
You are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true. I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever. LORD, you are good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. You are close to those who trust in you.
Psalm 119:151-152; Nahum 1:7
When you invite God into your day, it isn’t to convince him to be present. He has already promised to be with you in every moment. You invite God into your day to increase your awareness of his presence. Remembering God’s presence gives you peace and helps you enter situations with him at the forefront of your mind. If you are facing a challenging conversation, meeting, or situation, take a deep breath and prayerfully invite God to be with you in it—remembering that he has already promised to be there.
