Be Open To Correction
Lord, how do you convict me of sin?
All Scripture is inspired by me and is useful to teach you what is true and to make you realize what is wrong in your life. It corrects you when you are wrong and teaches you to do what is right. Let the Holy Spirit guide your life. The Spirit gives you desires that are the opposite of what your sinful nature desires.

Do I need to be afraid of your discipline? How can I be open to your correction?
Follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of your life, for I am good and I do what is right. I show the proper path to those who go astray. I lead the humble in doing right, teaching them my way. I lead with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep my covenant and obey my demands.

How can I pray for more openness to receive correction?
I won’t reject your discipline, LORD, or be upset when you correct me. For you correct those you love, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.
Proverbs 3:11-12
When the Holy Spirit convicts us, he points out where sin—instead of God’s grace—is ruling our hearts. God sent his Spirit to you to encourage you in your faith and bring you back into right relationship with him. God’s correction is always gentle and kind. If you are afraid that God will condemn you, or if you think your self-criticism is the voice of God, you will be closed off to his loving correction. What criticisms or self-condemnations might be preventing you from hearing the Holy Spirit calling you back to the Father?
