Time

Time

The most precious thing a human being has to give is time. There is so very little of it, after all, in a life.

Edith Schaeffer

I existed before time was created. As you live on earth, you are often confused about what to do with your time, or you feel guilty because you can never get everything done. This causes stress between you and Me and between you and other people. Seek My guidance about how to use your time. Begin each morning by spending time in My Word before you plunge into the day’s activities.

Ask Me what good things I have planned for you to do each day. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10). There will be times when people ask you to do more than I ask you to do. Learn how to say no to them so that you can say yes to My agenda for your life. Organize your priorities and know that spending quality time with your family is a good use of the minutes in your day. Identify and eliminate unimportant activities and self-imposed obligations. When you find yourself wavering about decisions that will commit you to major tasks, seek My wisdom. You can trust My Spirit to give you either a sense of uneasiness or sweet affirmation about your time choices. I’m interested in helping you make the most of every opportunity that fits in My plan for your life.

Live life, then, with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning and purpose of life but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the difficulties of these days.

Ephesians 5:15-16, PHILLIPS
