Maintain a teachable spirit while you’re waiting on answers to prayer. My Son found glory in His cross. He gave up His divine privileges and came to earth as a helpless baby. After going into public ministry, He was ridiculed, betrayed by one of His own followers, and despised by many in authority. He endured intense agony and died a criminal’s death on the cross instead of using His power to escape His suffering. Jesus’ example of humility amid great adversity can help you learn how to make it through each day.

Discover the value of thorny experiences. Allow your tears to make your heart tender. Seek wisdom from fellow Christ-followers who have learned important spiritual lessons as they persevered in the midst of trials. Your sorrow is never wasted when you nurture a teachable heart. The benefits include an awareness of My presence, insight for hard choices, and humility that allows you to receive direction for your next steps. If you wait on Me and listen for My instruction, I will teach you what you need to know.
