Somebodies

Somebodies

One of Jesus’ specialties is to make “somebodies” out of “nobodies.”

Henrietta Mears

Your past does not disqualify you from being a recipient of My love. There is nothing you have ever done that will keep Me from loving you. I see your sadness over past wrong choices. I’m aware of the times you looked in the mirror and wondered if anyone could ever genuinely care for you. I know the enemy throws accusations at you, trying to make you feel unworthy of redemption and undeserving of My forgiveness. But he’s a liar and an accuser. Tell him he has no power over your thoughts or your life. You belong to Me, and you are valuable to Me.

Remind yourself how much you mean to Me: I made you in My own image. I gifted you for service. I love you with an everlasting love. I comfort you when you’re filled with sorrow. I gave My Son’s life on the cross for you and want you to spend eternity with Me in heaven. You are somebody very special to Me!

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. . . . How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!

Psalm 139:13-14, 17-18
