Singing - He Holds My Hand

Singing

Every good gift that we have had from the cradle up has come from God. If a man just stops to think what he has to praise God for, he will find there is enough to keep him singing praises for a week.

D. L. Moody

Come into My presence with gladness, focusing on My gifts to you. Begin with short prayers. “Lord, my heart rejoices because You have given me life. Father, You provide shelter and food for me and for my family. You have given me friends who bless me during my struggles. You comfort me in my times of sorrow. You cover me with Your presence. You listen when I confide in You and protect me when I pray. I praise You for Your loving-kindness.”

Now begin singing to Me. You can start with hymns like “Amazing Grace” or “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” I am not concerned about the quality of your singing voice but about the heart behind the song. In the midst of your personal crisis, come before Me with singing. It will transform your attitude and put you in a place of readiness to receive what I have for you. Pause for a while, and let Me sing over you through My Word. Read Scripture and hear My voice speaking to you.

Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Psalm 100:1-3
