Radical Obedience
Radical Obedience
Obedience becomes radical when we say, “Yes, God, whatever You want,” and mean it. We release our grip on all that we love and offer it back to Him, who loves us more. And it is into these upturned hands that God will pour out His blessings—His abundant, unexpected, radical blessings.

I want you to experience the joy and blessing of partnering with Me in all your decisions and actions. Sometimes you waver, spending too much time wondering what to say yes to and what to say no to. Begin by asking Me to make your thoughts holy. Holy thinking focuses on what is pure, good, godly, and righteous. Then ask Me for wisdom and discernment as you embark on everyday activities. Expect that some of the nudges you receive from My Spirit will seem unusual and way out of your comfort zone.
When you begin a life of radical obedience, I may ask you to give up something precious to you. I may ask you to sacrifice financial comfort. I might even ask you to take strangers into your home or to visit a prisoner or to adopt a child from a foreign country. I might ask you to endure suffering without complaining because I have a purpose in your pain that you will one day understand. Never forget—radical obedience brings radical blessing!
So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.
1 Peter 1:14-15
