Praise Power
Praise Power
When I find myself getting weary from life’s pressures, I put on praise music and begin to thank the Lord.
Thelma Wells
There is power in praise. It will get your focus off your life’s pressures and back on Me. Instead of centering your thoughts on the struggles of life, you’ll be drawn close to Me because I inhabit the praises of My people (Psalm 22:3, KJV). Your praise-filled lips invite My presence. Do you know how special you are? “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9, NIV).
Praise pushes back the enemy and makes room for My blessing in your life. Glorify Me right where you are this moment. Your spirit will be refreshed, and you’ll be renewed in My presence. When your heart is aching, listen to worship music and begin singing your praise. Allow Me to lift your head. Pray these words: “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands” (Psalm 63:3-4, NIV). Praise paves the way for My power to be displayed. Miracles happen—and often the greatest miracle is in your heart.
Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven! Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness! . . . Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD! Praise the LORD!
Psalm 150:1-2, 6
