Our Hands In His

Our Hands In His

God takes our hands in His. He lifts us up gently. He holds us up. . . . He is leading us on a smooth path, keeping us from blundering off into the wilderness. Will we still stumble and lose our balance at times? Yes, but Scripture assures us that if we’re clinging to His hand, our stumbling will not result in devastating falls.

Be willing to lean on Me. You don’t have to do all the work yourself. Sometimes your independent spirit keeps you from experiencing all the benefits My protection and provision offer. I know your life has been filled with unexpected challenges that make choices hard. Will you give Me your hands, your heart, and your impossible situation? My precious one, you were never meant to carry these difficult circumstances alone. I am here for you.

Cling to Me and allow Me to make the road ahead smooth. I am able to keep you from falling. Immerse yourself in this promise from My Word: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety” (Psalm 18:2). Do you want more security? Do you hope to avoid pitfalls? Are you looking for assurances? Think of yourself as a lump of clay in the hands of the Master Potter. I am gently holding you and carefully shaping you. Trust Me to create something beautiful; allow Me to do My work.

As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.

Jeremiah 18:6
