No Room - He Holds My Hand
No Room The world has never had room for Jesus. In Bethlehem, they begrudged Him a place to be born, so He was born in a cattle stall. In Jerusalem, they gave Him a cross on which to die and buried Him in a borrowed tomb. In Nazareth, they belittled Him and called Him just a carpenter’s son. Adrian Rogers When Mary went into labor, there was no room in the inn—so Jesus was born in a common stable. It was a lowly, humble birthplace—but the King of kings and Lord of lords entered the world as a baby in Bethlehem. Will you make room for Me in your busy, demanding schedule? Will you make time to contemplate what the birth of Christ did for all humankind—and for you personally? You have been pushing Me to the margins of your life, rather than keeping Me in the center. Oh, how I long for you to spend time in My presence! There have been many things weighing you down, draining your energy, resources, and concentration. Distractions have kept you from coming to Me as often as you once did. It started with little things that grabbed your attention and got your focus off My highest priorities for your life. No matter how much you have to accomplish and how little space you have in your agenda—make our time together your most important appointment of the day. Let Me hear your concerns. Tell Me about your fears. Tell Me you love Me. Slow down, take a deep breath, and make room for the reason for the Christmas celebration—Jesus, My precious Son. Make room for Him! She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. Luke 2:7
