Lessons Learned
Lessons Learned
Wave after wave of trial rolled over us; but at the end of the year some of us were constrained to confess that we had learned more of the loving-kindness of the Lord than in any previous year of our lives.
Hudson Taylor
There is a sweet tenderness in this journey we’ve traveled hand in hand. We’ve walked together through deep valleys and even scaled a few mountains. In the beginning you were hesitant, uncertain, and a bit fearful, but now we’re walking step-by-step in rhythm with each other. You lean on Me when the storms come, and you ask for My guidance more quickly than in former days. Your dependence upon My leading has nurtured within you a courageous faith that can withstand adverse conditions. You’ve hidden Scripture in your heart, and you’re learning how to stand against the enemy’s trickery.
Your pain has often brought you to your knees—and in spite of tough times, you have found Me faithful. Your boldness has grown. As you speak freely about what I’ve done in your life and about the faith lessons you’ve learned, you are helping others. I sense in you an eagerness to begin the next year with a joy-filled heart; you are already anticipating what lies ahead. You have learned to find peace in My presence, and you know I will supply all your needs. Continue to hold My hand. Keep your eyes fixed on the future we have together.
I have talked about your faithfulness and saving power. I have told everyone in the great assembly of your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalm 40:10
