Just For You
Just For You
Next time a sunrise steals your breath or a meadow of flowers leaves you speechless, remain that way. Say nothing and listen as heaven whispers, “Do you like it? I did it just for you.”
Max Lucado
Every day holds great potential for discovering My work on your behalf! I want you to be encouraged. You’ve been learning to be alert to the beauty in My creation. Now begin looking for Me in other places and in everyday activities—in the warm greetings people give, in an answered prayer, in the giggles of a small child, in the “God bless you” salutation from the sales clerk, in the unexpected text message from a friend, and in the “aha” moment you found in My Word.
Your past habit has been to ask Me for My presence during your major conflicts, heartaches, and physical upheavals. That’s okay, but I want you to start a new habit—looking for Me in every part of your day. Consider these words from Solomon: “The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air” (Song of Songs 2:12). Begin by listing your daily God-finds—those unexpected moments and interactions. They make you smile, don’t they? Then close your eyes and hear Me say, “I did it just for you.”
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. . . . The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.
Lamentations 3:23, 25
