I am guiding you along a path that has, at times, seemed uncertain. Your unique journey has brought you through deep waters and rivers of difficulty. But I have heard your cries for help. I’ve seen your abiding faith and unwavering commitment to My will. You have experienced the truth of Psalm 34:15: “The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.” You have walked through the fire of oppression while declaring that I am a good and trustworthy God.

You’ve learned to totally rely on Me, and your confident assurance that these experiences have a purpose beyond the pain has led you to a solid, mature faith. You are turning your story into a testimony. By the way you’ve responded to your challenges, you’ve ignited hope in others who are struggling to find meaning in the chaos of life. I love you with an unfailing love. I kept you from drowning in your trials. I walked with you through the fire of adversity. As you lean on Me, keep telling your story to everyone you meet. Let others know that I will empower them with My Holy Spirit, setting their hearts ablaze with an everlasting love.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
