Fragrance

There should be a fragrance of grace that permeates the air around us as we live victoriously in Christ. What a privilege and an honor to give off a sweet savor to God and the world as Christ lives in us, through us, and for us.

Your life of sacrifice is a sweet perfume to Me. Live out your days in a way that glorifies Me, and your example will permeate the atmosphere with a pleasant fragrance. You may think no one notices your behavior, attitudes, and way of living, but people are watching. Your actions have a lingering effect on those around you. “Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God” (Ephesians 5:2).

As you live victoriously in Christ in the middle of heavy challenges and multiple hardships, your life gives hope to others. People will begin directing others to talk to you when they need answers. Always be ready to respond to their questions and speak openly about biblical principles. Treat others with respect even when they scoff at your faith or try to argue about My existence. Continue to share the gospel and stand against sin. Your godly conduct will reveal My character, and their curiosity will keep them listening. In time, some will say yes to Jesus.

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.
