Enough Already

Enough Already

When the Lord makes it clear you’re to follow Him in this new direction, focus fully on Him and refuse to be distracted.

Charles Swindoll

My child, I’ve been watching you walk around in circles. You feel stuck in a rut, and you’re not sure how to move forward. Beware of holding too tightly to old habits and patterns from the past. I am doing a new thing in your life. It’s time for you to admit that your repeated behaviors are holding you back from a much better future.

Begin by praying, “Lord, help me to recognize what isn’t working in my life and to be willing to leave the comfort of predictable patterns that have gotten me nowhere. Give me eyes to see the new direction You have for me. I give my fears to You because change is hard. I give my pain to You because it keeps me from focusing on a better way to live. I give my will to You because I’m stubborn and opinionated, and I often think I know the best plan for my life. I give my fatigue to You because walking in circles has been exhausting.” I am not asking you to walk this new path alone. I’ll be with you the whole way—bringing companionship, comfort, and joy. It’s time to move forward.

You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north.
