Endurance
Endurance
Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.
William Barclay
Your life isn’t a sprint—it’s a marathon. Learn how to get your sustenance from Me when you’re confronted with tiring tasks or unexpected hardship. As you cling to My promises, I will provide the stamina and resources needed to tolerate discomfort and keep moving forward. There will be temptations along the way that could slow you down or lead you down an appealing path. Don’t give in, and and don’t get sidetracked. Pay close attention to the map I’ve laid out for you in My Word.
Take care of yourself physically by eating healthy food and by pacing yourself. Never try to do more than one day requires. That, too, can trip you up and will eventually cause discouragement. Keep your eyes on My Son, Jesus, and remember how He endured suffering but stayed focused on the glory set before Him. You can make it! I’m right beside you—cheering you on and guiding you to the finish line.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
Hebrews 12:1
