Direction

Your abilities are the map to God’s will for your life. It points the direction. When you know what you’re good at, then you can know what God wants you to do with your life.

Rick Warren

My design for your life includes seasons. Some seasons require intensity, hard work, study, discipline, and targeted focus. At other times, My Spirit will lead you to take a breath, slow down, and intentionally engage in rest. It’s important that you stay close to Me, listen to My voice, and discern My will during the rhythms of life. Sometimes your insecurity leads you to hold back when I want you to be confident and courageous.

When I open a door, start walking. As you move forward, depend on Me to either affirm the direction you’re going or give you a sense of uneasiness. When the Holy Spirit gives you a passion for a cause, a project, a mission, or a specific assignment, engage others of like mind to join you in the adventure. When obstacles get in the way, remember this: “Don’t sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!” (Hebrews 12:12-13, MSG).

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.

Ecclesiastes 9:10, NIV
