Adoration
Adoration
Adoration is the spontaneous yearning of the heart to worship, honor, magnify, and bless God. . . . We ask for nothing but to cherish him. We seek nothing but his exaltation. We focus on nothing but his goodness.
Richard J. Foster
Come, My child, and remember what My Son came to the earth to do—to be the Savior of the world. Instead of focusing on all you are anxious about, replace your worrisome thoughts with adoration. Thank Jesus for His willingness to leave heaven’s glory to become a man, to be born in a lowly stable, subject to the limitations of earthly life. When He began His ministry, Jesus faced cruel people, hurtful criticism, strong temptations, and a poor, itinerant life rather than the grandeur of heaven. But He remained faithful to My will and followed it to the Cross.
Stop to think about all Jesus did for you. In whatever way you want, pause to adore Him. You can stand and look up; you can kneel with your head bowed; you can lie facedown; you can sing, speak aloud, or allow your thoughts to be turned into prayers of adoration: “Lord, thank You for coming to earth to save me. I worship You. I love You. I trust You. I desire Your sweet presence in my life.” Let the meditation of your heart and the words of your mouth give praise and honor to the One who gave up everything for you. Come and adore Him.
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.
1 Chronicles 29:11
