Where Hope Is Most Needed

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Hebrews 10:23

Read through God’s promises listed below and ask yourself which of them you need to hold most tightly to today.

• God’s promise to be with you (see Deuteronomy 31:6)
• God’s promise to always love you (see Romans 8:38)
• God’s promise to always be ready to help in times of distress (see Psalm 46:1)
• God’s promise to fulfill good plans for your life (see Jeremiah 29:11)
• God’s promise to secure your eternal salvation (see 1 John 4:9-10)

Once you have chosen a verse, read it aloud several times until it really sinks in. Think of a situation that is heavy on your heart. With this in mind, ask God to help you hold tightly to the promise you just read.
