When God Comes To Mind
When God Comes to Mind
This is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
John 17:3
What do you really think about God? What do you absolutely know to be true about him? Your answers to these questions impact everything you do. “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us,” wrote A. W. Tozer.*
Each day this week will focus on one of God’s attributes. God’s “attributes” are simply who he really is and what he does. As you read the reflection questions, be honest with yourself and God about any inconsistencies between what you thought you knew about God and what the Bible actually says about him.
Resist the urge to immediately “fix” your relationship with God in those areas where you were wrong about him. Allow the Holy Spirit to do the mending. Reread the Scriptures from the last two weeks if any feelings of condemnation or shame arise. The focus of this week is simply knowing God better.
