Surprised by Gratitude

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

In retrospect, what is something you could have been thankful for at the time it was happening, but you weren’t?

For example, you might now be thankful God worked out good through a bad experience, or you might be thankful you went through a difficult time because it caused you to learn a lot.

Might this be something for which you will be thankful when you look back months or years from now?

Thank God for the work he is currently doing, which you will someday recognize and appreciate.
