Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and head across the lake to Bethsaida, while he sent the people home. After telling everyone good-bye, he went up into the hills by himself to pray.

Mark 6:45-46

Read the verses and think about what it might have been like for Jesus to send away his disciples in order to be alone.

Which relationships are difficult to step back from in order to spend time alone with God?

In the next few minutes of solitude, acknowledge this tension in prayer and then offer that person or those people to the Lord, trusting they are in his care.
