Satisfied With Love

Satisfied with Love

Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

Psalm 90:14

Contentment is one of life’s most elusive qualities. Real contentment means being at peace with God and accepting how he has made you, where he has placed you, what he has given you, and who you are in relation to him. It is trusting he has a plan for you and will accomplish it.

You grow in contentment as you trust that God is in control and is working out his unique and wonderful plan for your life. The practice of contentment results in freedom, gratitude, and joy. When you are truly content, you are free from the need to strive, spend, and compete with others because you are full of gratitude that you have more than you deserve. Contentment protects you from jealousy, covetousness, and greed.

This week, be honest with God when you feel discontent. Allow him to use these exercises to change your heart to be at peace with who you are and who God is, and to accept that as enough for the moment.
