Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

We celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, victories, promotions, milestones, marriages, and new babies. We also celebrate occasions such as the Lord’s Supper and baptism. The ultimate reason to celebrate is that God has rescued us from the consequences of sin and shown us the wonders of eternity. Celebration is a powerful tool to take our focus off our troubles and put it on God’s blessings, and ultimately on God himself. Those who love him truly have the most to celebrate!
