Loose Language

Loose Language

[Jesus said,] “I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

Matthew 12:36-37

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Ephesians 4:29

When was the last time you used profanity?

What caused you to do it?

An argument? Another driver? Stubbing your toe or hitting your head on something?

Or has bad language slowly become a normal part of your speech?

If so, confess this to the Lord. Now commit not to use any profanity for the rest of the day. Keep practicing until it is no longer part of your speech.
