What are you letting into your heart these days that will likely lead to a rift in your relationship with God?

Are you watching a television show or movie that isn’t edifying? Listening to a radio talk show that uses crude language? Looking at websites or magazines that glorify looks, wealth, or sex? What is the first thing that comes to mind?

Spend a few minutes talking to God about this.

Now reflect over the last two weeks and answer the following questions: What have you learned about yourself (self-examination)? How has this discovery changed your communication with God (confession)?

Ask God if there is a particular sin in your life that he wants you to confess now to him and possibly to a close, trusted friend. And then confess it.
