Grateful Service

Be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.

1 Samuel 12:24

Is there a person or people in your life whom you find it difficult to happily serve?

Your church?

Your spouse?

A child with a bad attitude?

Your needy neighbor?

As you read the above verse again, think about some of the wonderful things God has done for you. How might this encourage you to serve with gratitude?

Think about what it has felt like to serve God by helping others this past week.

When did it seem most difficult to serve?

What exercises have best prepared your heart for service?
