From Tears To Celebration

From Tears to Celebration

Let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.

Psalm 5:11

Satan’s mission is to kill, steal, and destroy everything good in your life—especially your joy. So how can you remain joyful in a world where there is so much to be sad about?

God’s Word says that joy is good medicine for the heart and the source of our strength, transforming our tearful moments into times of celebration. Being joyful means choosing an attitude of appreciation, thanksgiving, and rejoicing.

The exercises this week will help you learn to appreciate the gifts God has given you, develop an attitude of thanksgiving, and rejoice with God in response. Remember that it is impossible to force yourself to feel joy. But you can ask the Lord to help you be aware of his gifts and goodness in your life, which will help you develop an appreciative and thankful heart—regardless of your circumstances.
